The vibrant pink varies by age and light conditions, and the more light the more vibrant pink the mushroom will take on. One way you can ensure vibrant pink colors is grow in containers you can move outdoors in indirect sunlight, or put them next to a window. The pink color will fade as the mushroom matures, as does the spores. This mushroom flourishes in tropical and sub-tropical zones around the world and is noted as a high temperature tolerant oyster mushroom. It’s a fast aggressive colonizer with an adaptive ability to fruit on a wide range of substrates including many unpasteurized bulk substrates like straw before contaminants set in.
