The Z-Strain cubensis originated from a spore vendor who went by “the keeper”. One really good cubensis strain came from this company and it’s the Z-Strain. We have no idea where he got it from as he never used strain origins, he made up his own names, such as Star Gazers, Illusion Weavers and Reality Benders. However we have recently learned the Z-strain is probably the Nepal Cubensis renamed. It is a very good strain that produces thick stems.

The Z-Strain cubensis is one of the strains of cubensis featured in a very cool mushroom documentary: Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia Magic Mushrooms of Mexico. You can watch it online or see reruns of it on the Vice Channel. Vice Channel is channel 271 on DirectTV and this documentary reruns often so set your DVR! Also featured is the Golden Teachers cubensis, Purple Mystics cubensis and the Mexicana species

We have the A strain, the B strain, there used to be an F stain, and a Z strain. With a little more time the shroom alphabet will be complete and more confusing!
